Curry County Awarded FY26 New Mexico Clean & Beautiful Grant

Curry County has been awarded $4,450 through the New Mexico Clean & Beautiful (NMCB) Grant Program to support local litter control and beautification efforts. This funding is provided by the New Mexico Tourism Department (NMTD) and is part of a statewide initiative to maintain New Mexico as a clean, safe, and beautiful place to live, work, and play.

The mission of New Mexico Clean & Beautiful is to inspire and educate individuals to take action toward improving their community environments. Through initiatives that promote beautification, litter reduction, and recycling, communities across the state have transformed public spaces, diverted waste from landfills, and encouraged environmental stewardship.

Curry County will use the grant funds to install recycling receptacles at the Curry County Administration Office and to support youth-led litter clean-up events, helping to further the NMCB mission locally.
