Curry County Road Department Awarded FY26 Transportation Project Fund (TPF) Funding

Curry County, NM – The Curry County Road Department has been awarded $1,396,806.95 in Transportation Project Fund (TPF) funding through the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) for Fiscal Year 2026.

The awarded funding will be utilized for maintenance, construction, reconstruction, pavement rehabilitation/improvements, blading/shaping, and miscellaneous work on the following county roadways:

• Curry Road 15 (from Curry Road I to State Road 209)
• Curry Road 14 (from State Road 311 to Curry Road T)
• Curry Road G (from State Road 77 to Curry Road 17)
• Curry Road O (from Curry Road 9 to US60/84)
• Curry Road 9 (from Curry Road O to State Road 467)
• Curry Road 19 (from Curry Road C to Curry Road E)
• Curry Road 16 (from Curry Road L to State Road 311)

This funding is part of Curry County’s ongoing commitment to improve roadway conditions and ensure the safety and accessibility of county roads for the traveling public. The grant has a 5% match of $69,840.35 that will be come from county labor and equipment and we anticipate work to Spring 2026.
