Curry County Beautification Program Launches New Rural Rolloff Dump Program to Provide NO-COST Disposal Access and Reduce Illegal Dumping
The Curry County Beautification Program has launched a new Rural Rolloff Dump Program, an initiative designed to provide NO COST access to rural county communities for proper waste disposal. This program aims to reduce illegal dumping and support cleaner, healthier communities across Curry County.
The Rural Rolloff Dump Program will place rolloff containers in designated rural communities, providing residents with an easy, no-cost way to dispose of bulky items, household debris, and other non-hazardous waste. By offering convenient and accessible disposal locations, Curry County aims to reduce illegal dumping in agricultural areas, along county roads, and in other remote parts of the county.
The containers will be available 24/7 and located at three County Volunteer Fire Departments:
- Broadview Volunteer Fire Department – 3853 NM-209, Broadview, NM 88112
- Pleasant Hill Fire Department – 304 NM-77, Texico, NM 88135
- Countyline Fire Department – 1006 CR 6, Clovis, NM 88101
“We are excited to be able to start implementing our Beautification Plan strategies and able to provide this convenience at no cost to rural residents,” said County Manager Lance Pyle.
This program is funded through the Que Linda Grant awarded by the New Mexico Department of Transportation, which supports statewide initiatives focused on community beautification, litter reduction, and environmental stewardship.
