The Countyline Volunteer Fire Department is Curry County's newest fire department. It was formally established by Curry County Resolution 2020-55 on August 18, 2020. The Countyline fire district is located in southern Curry County extending to the Curry/Roosevelt county line, encompassing approximately 129 square miles. The department currently operates three fire apparatus with a staff of twenty-one volunteer firefighters.
