NOTICE OF RECOUNT

The NM State Canvassing Board met November 25, 2025 to certify the November 4 Regular Local Election and order any necessary automatic recounts pursuant to state law. See: Order for Automatic Recounts

Pursuant to the Order above, the Curry County Recount Election Board will convene for the purpose of recounting the contest of Texico Municipal School District – School Board Member at large. 

The board will convene on Tuesday, December 2, beginning at 9:00 am, in Curry County Commission Chambers within the Curry County Administrative Complex at 417 Gidding Street in Clovis.  This process is open to the public for observation.

Upcoming Elections

-February 12, 2026 - Clovis Municipal School District Special Election (All-mailed ballot election)

Resolution and Proclamation as approved by the Board of Education of the Clovis Municipal School District

This election will be conducted by mailed ballot only - there will be no in-person voting.  
T
he deadline to register to vote in this election is January 15, 2026, with the exception of Same Day Voter Registration. 
Same Day Voter Registration will be available January 16 – February 12, 2026 in the Curry County Clerk's office only, during regular business hours. This service allows for new registrants, as well as for existing voters to update their information to receive a ballot.
Registered voters of the Clovis Municipal School District will be mailed voting materials between January 16 - 18, 2026.
Voted ballots must be returned by mail or hand-delivered to the Clerk’s Office no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day: February 12, 2026.
If you have not received your ballot by January 29, 2026, contact the Clerk’s Office to request a replacement.

Curry County voters may vote at any Election Day polling place in Curry County, regardless of where they live.

    Park and enter on east side of building, off of Axtell

  • North Plains Mall - Suite 1184 - 2809 N Prince St, Clovis, NM
             Use accessible entrance on northwest side of mall between JCP and Big R Stores
  • Farmers Electric Cooperative - 3701 N Thornton St, Clovis, NM
             Use entrance on east side of the building.

The Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) allows qualified service members and overseas citizens to simultaneously register to vote and request absentee ballots for all elections held through the next regularly scheduled general election.
